Organize a birthday, it takes time ! And sometimes, we realize that we forgot to think about details... when it's too late. Result: it is often panic, or does not know what to do. How do we know? We lived it! So here are our rules and tips for a anniversary. from hell!
Rules
Rule 1, L '3 year anniversary : few guests (6 children is the ideal number), two hours of party max.
Rule 2, L '4 year anniversary : a little more guests (between 6 and 8), two and a half hours of party max.
Rule 3, the birthday of 5 to 8 years: have fun! At least three hours of party and as many guests as you can handle (8-10 kids is a reasonable number)!
Advice
Tip 1: Do not leave fragile objects accessible.
Tip 2: Store your child's toys in their bedroom.
Tip 3: Charge camera and camera batteries.
Tip 4: Forbid access to your child's room, unless you have very few guests (less than 3) or at the very end of the tea party and there are very few left. If the children don't talk about it, don't talk about it either, it's even simpler.
Tip 5: Reserve a space for the party (living room, dining room, garden or bedroom) and make it a real playground.
Tip 6: During birthday games, always put your child first even if the others complain. If they complain, explain to them that it's his birthday!
Tip 7: Ask for parents' phone numbers and emails before they leave their children so you can contact them if there is a problem and send them photos (even though you may never send them!) .
Tip 8: Leave the windows open only if you have protections on them, otherwise, even if it is very hot, leave them closed.
Tip 9: Never leave the children on their own (it's obvious, but it was worth a little reminder shot).
Tip 10: When the children arrive, ask them to put the gifts in a corner that you have previously defined with your child. Tell your child and guests that the gifts will be opened at the very end of the party. For a party that ends at 18 p.m., open the presents at 17:45 p.m. or even 17:50 p.m. If you do it before, it can be a stampede.
Tip 11: As the guests arrive, welcome them by drawing a mustache for the boys and false eyelashes for the girls with Khôl. It's not mandatory, but if you can do it, that's great! And, it works better when there are two of us to welcome...
Tip 12: While waiting for all the friends to arrive, ask the children to introduce themselves and tell their story: each gives their first name, their age, the name of their mistress, their favorite game, their favorite color, their favorite cartoon…
Tip 13: When all the guests have arrived, explain to them that you are going to play great games all afternoon together and that you are going to have a lot of fun. It's amazing, but if you're enthusiastic (and believable), half the job is done!
Tip 14: Offer the small pouches intended for guests (if you have any) when they are on the doorstep, coat on their shoulders, shoes on their feet. Never before!!
And the ultimate advice : do not plan to have dinner the same evening, especially at home (and the day before, but that was clear since you are in your kitchen baking cakes by the hundreds).
And There you go ! You are ready to organize a birthday in the rules of art ! Finally...keep the faith!
