SUPERHERO CAPE

Yes, even superheroes celebrate their birthdays ! So if you're about to throw a superhero birthday party, we've got a DIY for you inspired by By Little Ones ! Remember that the common point between Superman, Batman... is their cape!  So even if it's party time, you will most likely need one to complete your disguise! Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne will become green with envy!

    Print the letter of your choice on the printable font for superhero capes.

    Have the children color the inside of the coat of arms.

    Cut out the coat of arms.

    Take the sheet of card stock and cut a 29.7 x 7 cm strip from it.

    Crease one side of the silk sheet and staple it to the end of the strip of paper. Do the same on the other side. Then, pleat the entire silk sheet and staple the top to the strip of card stock to give it a cape shape.

    Brush the coat of arms with glue.

    Glue the coat of arms in the center of the cape.

    Cut 1 m of wool and place it along the cardboard strip, leaving 30 cm overhang on each side. Staple the wire to the cardboard strip.

    Turn the cape over and put glue on the entire surface of the cardboard strip.

    Glue the aluminum foil to it lengthwise.

    Turn the cape over and fold down the aluminum foil, gluing it to the other side of the cardboard strip. Bend the edges of the aluminum that protrude giving them a triangular shape to make a real flying cape effect.

Voila, the superhero cape is finished! All that remains is to put it on the backs of the children so that they can go save the world!
Practical tip: vary the pleasures and change the color of the tissue paper to have different capes!
