KIDS DO IT (BETTER)

Organizing a birthday after the surf lesson is a great way to create real group cohesion, give respite to the parents of the guests (idleness forever) and above all to be the coolest parent in the world! If your kids are human, after a 2 hour surf lesson, they're done! So we organize a 2-hour snack to which we invite the teachers, the boss of the club and we take the opportunity to negotiate a discount for next year!

⏰ D-DAY ⏰

All the children of the Tutti frutti club are there! We start with the snack.

The decor is simple, normally the setting of the beach has its effect, TMTC! (You don't know what that means?) (Too bad) We plant 2 parasols and we place a picnic or formica table in the middle. Between the two parasols, a blue tassel garland is suspended. Well yes, it's a birthday. On the other hand, we forget the balloons which will bend under the wind.

On the table, we play it efficient: individual water bottles and juice cans customized with bands, the elements play against us, so we're efficient! An easy-to-carry chocolate cake with a DIY shark fin on it, blue napkins as plates. EFFICIENT. Shark candies. Watermelon lollipops (tutti frutti sponso 4ever <3). And for the lucky ones, you can also go for a walk at the glacier (me, I've always been refused it...)!

Each child wears their DIY surf goggles (cooler, you die) and we start with simple games!

1 Giant surf memo! On foam board or real cardboard, we make local patterns: a board, a fin, a wave, a parasol, a palm tree, a sun... And we repeat the exercise twice! Place the cards face up in the sand and the game can begin! If they are numerous and large, we do not hesitate to make the same patterns, but with different colors! That's it, the children know each other a little better, we can start the funnier games!

2 The apple game, as many apples as participants in a basin filled with water, at the start the children must, without hands, catch the apple with their teeth. BASIC. Then they have to pass under hoops and get to the flag (over 40 meters) and put the apple back in the second basin, the first to arrive wins!

3 If it's hot (we mean below Cap Ferret), we organize the ultimate water fight game! We prepare in a basin 5 bombs per guest (adults included) and we give the indication of the number of bombs to the children before the game! Let's go for at least 15 minutes of madness on the beach. The hilarious moment is when to avoid the bombs, you dive into the water… I think I still have traumas from this episode of my life!

4 To continue on the water games, we organize a sliding competition, we stretch a tarpaulin on the sand which we fix with fairly heavy pebbles and with seals and we cover it with water and dishwashing product (not too much otherwise this foam party) and there, let's go for sliding, on the back, on the stomach, skidding... We're in the tube!!!

5 If the chemistry is there, we continue the festivities with an AIR SURF contest! All on a BEACH BOY playlist! We place 2 boards on the sand, and the children compete! They must imitate the mono, get up, balance on the board, wave..., the other children can also lift the boards for rodeo-style turbulence effects!

Before the children leave, we can organize the distribution of gifts, but in the context of snack after holiday club, there should not be too many, it does not matter, the most important thing is the party and the pipe! The children begin to leave little by little, we throw a game of petanque in the sand (the mölkky can last for ages).

It's time to leave, a bag of sweets (the sharks!) for the children, no gift, they are already so happy to be there and to meet again tomorrow, in the tube!!

ADULTS DO IT (EVEN BETTER)

We've been organizing this for months, a week with friends: surfing, tequila, an open-air cinema with Point Break repeats every night and Paolo's birthday!

Whatever happens, in a group, there will always be differences in levels (not Johnny Utah who wants!) so, we take a teacher, see 2! We'll say they're called Joe and Carlos (yes, there's 1 Californian and 1 Hawaiian!) and we stick with them all week!

That's it, Saturday has arrived! Normally, you are full of body aches, Joe and Carlos planted you because Manon could not help loving them (yes)! So, it's herbal tea, and off to bed! Come on, you are warriors, we can still organize something, Paolo, he dreams of this birthday!

After a surf session, we organize the last dinner of the week (and yes, the camp, it's over...) We stay on the beach and we prepare a royal picnic! Plaids galore, and everyone in jerseys and hoodies. To play it festive, we make surf goggles and Hawaiian necklaces, perfect for souvenir Polaroid photos! We also bought neon makeup for indeed Ibiza at the top!

For dinner, the most organized will have a barbecue team in the cottage at the end of the afternoon (and yes, no fire on the beaches of France!), salads, and corona! We also prepare bowls of punch and pineapple cups! For dessert, a very simple chocolate cake (already a feat with the kitchen of the gîte) and the shark fin tutorial!

We start to get into the mood, it's still very daylight, we organize a sliding competition, we stretch a tarp over the sand which we fix with fairly heavy pebbles and with seals and we cover it with water and product dishes (not too much otherwise it's foam party) and there we go for sliding, on your back, on your stomach, skidding... We're in the tube!!! If the day is still there and the participants in the cleat, the apple game and the water fights, it always works!

The evening begins to fall, we begin the cocktails gin bombay sapphire, tonic and candy sharks! We distribute Paolo's gift, a new wetsuit and a Flamingo buoy! In the top ! We're launching the summer playlist and let's go for a frenzied AIR SURF contest! We place 2 boards on the sand, and we compete! We imitate Joe and Carlos and their slightly show-off tics, we move, we balance on the board, waves, Beyoncé and we turn into Bodhi Salver right down to our hair! Of course, the others can also lift the boards for rodeo-style turbulence effects...

The evening is in full swing, it's dark and cold, we put the beach behind us and we go dancing at SIX! We pass the bouncer quietly while Manon fricote with Alban, Paddle's mono! We see Joe and Carlos again, they offer us a bottle, how cool are the surf teachers! We finish at 5 o'clock. Arrived at home, the bravest watch Point Break, we don't want to leave: "JUST LEAVE ME ONE WAVE, JOHNNY"!
