    Prepare the materials you will need to make your "fortune egg cookie".

    Empty the eggs: with a large needle, pierce a small hole in the pointed end of the egg. Then poke a larger hole in the rounded end of the egg, making sure to pierce the yolk. Blow through the small hole until the egg is completely empty.

    Color the eggs: use food coloring to mix in boiling water. Add the dye, one drop at a time, until you achieve the desired color intensity. Immerse the eggs in the solution, a few minutes for a pastel shade and longer for a bright shade.
